Tips from the kitchen of an Indian homemaker

Today’s Tips

  1. Add onions and garlic to a jar of water, let it stand for a week, and spray plants with it. It keeps your garden away from insects.
  2. If your vase is too wide for flowers, use clear tape across the mouth to make a smaller opening for your arrangement.

Beauty Tips:

Fight with wrinkles on your face:

  1. Cut a grape in half and gently crush it on your face and neck. Make sure that you get the "crows-feet" and the lines around your mouth. Leave it on for twenty minutes or so and rinse with tepid water and pat dry. Repeat every day and before you know it those nasty old lines will be hard to find!Don't forget to drink at least 8 glasses of water daily; and eat veggies rich in Vitamin A, such as carrots, celery and spinach. If you can, get 8 hours of sleep every nigh.
  2. Grate and squeeze juice out of a small piece of watermelon. Apply it on your face and leave it on for about fifteen minutes. Then wash with hot water and splash on some cold water. This lotion not only freshens up the skin but also clears the skin of its blemishes.
