Firstly, thanks to my friend Vandana, who told me about 27Coupons.com where you can get so many deals, offers and coupons of your favorite online shops! I prefer amazon.com to shop online; because most of online shops do not serve all the products at my address; but Amazon delivers 95% products at my doorstep. So, Amazon.com is my first preference. Also, they have a huge collection of books and you all know that I’m a bookworm! I buy 10-15 books every month. After hearing about 27Coupons from Vandana; I went to the site in just for curiosity; but I really wonder when I saw their deals on so many online stores!! I searched for amazon.in and saw that there is a huge discount offers on Jewelries, Handbags, Books, Watches, Electronics, Laptops, Apparels,  and Shoes etc. I discovered, there is Up to 63% off on books!

I’m a fan of Amish Tripathi (the writer of ‘Shiva’ Trilogy) and want to pre-order his upcoming novel ‘Scion of Ikshvaku (Ramchandra Series)'. I was thinking that, might be, I should pay something extra for it; but I was surprised when I got 25% discount on it! I quickly booked the book!

I want to buy a digital camera for my mom within my pocket money. I noticed that they offered up to 75% off on electronics; so searched there for a digital camera and saw, there is a fabulas discount on cameras! Then I go there and got 32% discount on Nikon Coolpix!

Can you imagine? I paid just Rs. 4049/- for the awesome camera! In this way, I saved total Rs. 1989/- and paid for my favorite products within my pocket money.

Good morning/Good afternoon/Good evening my friends, wherever you are! This is 8:00pm. 15th April, 2015, Wednesday in India. After a long time I am able to blog; actually, I’m little busy with my cooking blog “From the Kitchen of an Indian Homemaker” and trying to manage some more time for this one! Hope I will blog regularly here very soon!

I have planned to blog here before long; because, today is the first day of Bengali New Year 1422; a fresh year starts today! And how can I forget my first blog and lovely readers on this special day?! We, Bengalis are so emotional; we celebrate all the occasions and moments that connected with our lives! Actually, I think, may be all Indians are so emotional; and that’s why; we have so many festivals and occasions to celebrate, at least 2 times in a month!! In others countries, there are one New Year for all to celebrate but; you know, we have many New Years! Don’t you believe that? But, it’s true! In India, every one or two states have their own calendar and New Year and generally, they all are fallen around in April! I explain:

1)Ugadi is celebrated as New Year's Day in Karnataka and Andhra pradesh and Gudi Padwa is celebrated as New Year's Day in Maharashtra on the same day which corresponds to end of March or beginning of April according to the Gregorian calendar.

Usually Baisakhi falls on 13th April, and some time on 14th and also celebrated as the day of the formation of the Sikh Khalsa. 15) Here is one more New Year which is not fallen in April. It is Bestu Varas, is the New Year's Day for Gujaratis and falls on the day next to Diwali; in the month of October or November. Besides that, I think there are more except my knowledge.
